Boozman's Report Card from Mark Levin's Conservative Review: F with Excessive Absences.

Statement

Conservative Review, a think tank closely associated with radio talk show host Mark Levin, puts out a rating of federal legislators called the Liberty Index. It is computed using a six-year rolling average of votes cast on the 50 most important issues that impact personal freedom. It is viewed by many as the clearest indication of whether a politician believes that individuals should have the liberty to live their own lives or that government should have more say in how we live.

In the most recent report, Conservative Review graded Sen. John Boozman an "F", saying he only voted correctly 56% of the time. For comparison, Utah Senator Mike Lee was the highest rated senator, with a perfect 100% score. A close second was Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, who scored 97%. Boozman's score was much more similar to those of South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham, Arizona Senator John McCain, and Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell, all of whom also received failing scores. This indicates that on liberty issues Boozman groups more with those Senators than with Lee and Cruz.

Boozman also compares unfavorably to the junior senator from Arkansas, Tom Cotton. Cotton earned a more respectable 77% score, and also had a very high level of attendance. Boozman missed 5.4% of his votes, about triple that of Cotton.

Considering his voting record, maybe the people of Arkansas should be happy that John Boozman doesn't have a better record of attendance. The less he votes, the less damage he will do to our individual liberty and personal freedom. This November you will have a chance to upgrade to a Senator who will vote more like Mike Lee and Ted Cruz and a lot less like John McCain and Lindsey Graham. Former small town Mayor Frank Gilbert is running for Senate. He's not a Republican, not a Democrat, and not for Sale. Had enough yet? Then vote Frank Gilbert for U.S. Senate.
